Claire graduated from Tangara School for Girls in 2001, and it took decades for her to speak out about her experiences. She wrote an article around consent education for The Guardian in 2021 that couldn’t name the institution, and then took her story and testimonies from other former students to Louise Milligan in 2022, with Four Corners broadcasting ‘Purity: An Education in Opus Dei’ in early 2023. Claire has continued to speak out since then, in the hopes that her voice can help advocate for change and to improve things for future students.
