David was an up-and-coming journalist with Cumberland Newspapers as a young man, and gave it all up to join Violet Pryor's Zion Full Salvation Ministry. He wrote the book My Brother's Eyes with his brother John about his cult experiences. Today David continues to write, practices as a celebrant, and is founding secretary of Humanity in Need – Rainbow Refugees.
