International Cult Awareness Month: Lisa Kendall

Special Guest: Lisa Kendall

Lisa is the founder and director of Counter Cult Coalition, an Oregon based nonprofit working to protect and provide for people who have grown up in cults. She has been active in the cult awareness community since 2012, by providing support for former members in civil suits, testifying before legislatures, writing and speaking about the impact of coercive group involvement.

Lisa has a Masters in Public Administration with a focus on public-private partnerships and extensive experience in business and nonprofit management. Her main projects are supporting advancements in the counter cult community and working for better public policy to allow children in cults more meaningful lives.

She lives with three marvelous cats in Portland, Oregon.

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Lisa Kendall spent the ages of 9-19 in The Move of God, Sam Fife's apocalyptic cult. Today, she devotes her time to working on policy changes that will help former cult members and children in high-demand organisations. For International Cult Awareness Month 2023, she updates us about her work with Counter Cult Coalition and the work of others in the counter-cult space.
